Band Parents Association

COLLEGE SCHOLORSHIP APPLICATION

This scholarship has been established by the El Reno Band Parents Association to recognize outstanding senior band students. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize students for their dedication to the band program and their commitment to having music a part of their lives. The scholarship is to be used at the college or university of the student's choice and can be applied toward books, tuition and fees payable through the institution's business office. Funding is contingent upon availability of funds.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:

1. •  Student must be a graduating senior in the year of the award.
2. •  Student must have been a member of the El Reno Band for four years.
3. •  Student must show evidence of active participation in band events and activities including marching, contest, tryouts, .
4. •  Student must show enrollment in or participation in music courses or activities on the college level.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

1. •  Complete the application provided.
2. •  List high school band activities, honors, and awards.
3. •  Discuss the impact of music on your life and your future plans related to music.
4. •  Print and return the application to the "Scholarship Application Folder" at the Band Hall.
